ABOUT OUR NONPROFIT
The mission of The Resonant Hive nonprofit is to protect and restore declining bee populations while advancing ecological education, frequency-based conservation research, and immersive community programs rooted in sound, stillness, and sustainability—creating a sanctuary of belonging and public benefit for both individuals and pollinators.
Beginning with our leased flagship rural property in Mars Hill, North Carolina, The Resonant Hive Sanctuary, Inc. will serve as a research and development hub for frequency-based resonant sanctuaries. Once refined and field-tested, these compact systems—designed to restore pollinator habitat through resonant frequency ecological practices—will be deployed nationally through a network of mission-aligned apicultural stewards. Utilizing a values-based franchised partnership model, we aim to scale our impact while preserving the integrity, science, and spirit of our sanctuary approach

While many in the apiary and sustainability communities are motivated by genuine care for the earth, it’s not always easy to distinguish sincere nonprofit initiatives from those that simply use the nonprofit label. In recent years, especially in the “save the bees” space, there’s been a rise in well-branded campaigns that lack meaningful accountability or public oversight.
This can create confusion and skepticism, even among well-intentioned supporters. That’s why transparency isn’t just a principle—it’s a practice. At The Resonant Hive Sanctuary, Inc., we uphold the responsibilities that come with 501(c)(3) status, including ethical governance, public financial disclosure, and a mission-driven use of all resources. By operating with openness and integrity, we aim to strengthen public trust and model how nonprofit work in the apicultural space can truly serve both pollinators and people.
In the context of the apiary and ecological stewardship communities, nonprofit transparency is not just a legal obligation—it’s a foundational principle of trust. Many individuals may be unfamiliar with how nonprofit structures differ from for-profit ventures. As a 501(c)(3) organization, The Resonant Hive Sanctuary, Inc. operates under strict ethical and financial guidelines. This means our resources are solely directed toward public benefit—not private gain.
All decisions, funding, and partnerships are documented, reviewed by a board, and made available for public inspection. We believe that open communication about our activities, finances, and governance helps ensure that every hive we support, every habitat we restore, and every educational program we are part of is aligned with our mission and accountable to the community we serve.
